Ray Medellin, vocals and guitar, is a second-generation musician following in his father’s footsteps. Ray started his career as a lead vocalist at age 11, and over the years played with Kansas City area bands such as Russel Brothers, Cottonmouth, and Power Plaz. Eventually he put together his own group, Mixt Menu, playing classic rock and blues, which led to finding the talented group of guys now known as Issues. Ray by day is a commercial contruction job superintendent.
Scotty Yates, guitar and vocals— “Travel the world playing guitar” —that’s Scotty’s master plan. A seasoned professional musician for over 30 years and a list of countries as tall as the Eiffel Tower, Scotty’s musical career of local , regional and national bands includes the Lavender Hill Mob, Jungle, Riverrock, the KC Opry Show (where he was staff guitar player for two years, performing with legends like Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, the Carter Sisters, and Hank Thompson), Tourist, The Jetzons, Powerglide, and the Jerry Presley Show (over 10 years of performances with the world famous Jordanaires and The Stamps). The journey continues, rockin’ with Issues … who’s got the plane ticket?
Richard Streeter, bass & vocals, has been a fixture on the KC music scene for over 35 years. His musical career has covered many different styles and has found him in various roles as bassist, sax player, drummer, guitarist and vocalist. Richard has been a member of bands such as Jungle, The Extremes, The Artists, Picture This, Everyday People, and The 4 Sknns as well as performing as a soloist.
In more than 30 years as a professional musician, Pat Tomek (drums) has played with some of the best-known bands in the Kansas City area, including The Rainmakers, Kelley Hunt Band, and The 4 Sknns. He has played everything from power pop to country, roots rock to dinner theater, original material to party and wedding bands. He also plays and records original material with Howard Iceberg & the Titanics and other projects in his Pro Tools-based home recording studio. By day, he has a freelance business doing web and print design, graphics, and interactive media.
